Casa del Inca is made from late-harvested PX grapes from some of Montilla’s finest high-altitude vineyards owned by Bodegas Pérez Barquero. It is aged in traditional amphorae for 12-18 months. The resulting PX is not rancio, but rather vibrant and intense; it is pure, perfumed, and surprisingly complex. Though it is very sweet (with about 400 grams of residual sugar), it also possesses a fresh acidity.

Serve it with coffee, tea, or chocolate-based desserts. Our favorite “application”? Pour a few tablespoons over vanilla ice cream. Cork the bottle, and repeat the next day.

Limited global release of 3000 bottles; only vintages 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2015 have been made so far.

The wine is named after the former Montilla residence of chronicler and writer Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
